Responsibilities:
Develop PLC and HMI applications to meet specifications (primarily using Codesys and Ignition) Plans, evaluates, organizes and implements automation related projects Reviews design efforts from production team to ensure quality and accuracy Troubleshoot issues with existing installations Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade legacy code
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable. At least 5 years experience in automation engineering Experience with industrial networks and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, J1939) Experience interfacing with MCCs, VFDs, soft starts, and motors Familiarity with hydraulic or pneumatic systems is preferred Demonstrated ability to lead projects, prioritize tasks, and manage timelines effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
